Aegis Powersports Offers Dealer F&I Training

canstockphoto24741644Aegis Powersports plans to help their dealer partners improve F&I product sales with a series of dealer training seminars, Troy Billen, assistant vice president of Aegis Powersports, told Powersports Finance yesterday.

Garage Composites, a leading powersports training company, has been contracted to lead the series of two-day F&I seminars throughout the year. Garage Composites’ Steve Dodds, an expert in powersports F&I, will lead the training.

“Steve is one of the preeminent F&I trainers in the country,” Jeff Kenny, vice president dealer products of Aegis Powersports, told PF. “He is able to reduce complex sales and compliance information into information that is both easy to understand and implement. By attending, F&I professionals gain new tools to further their careers while dealers enjoy immediate, improved performance in their ratio of F&I to overall store profit.”

The seminars will cover F&I expected penetration numbers, industry terms, F&I practices and products currently offered in the powersports industry, cash-to-finance conversions, and how to set F&I goals, in addition to several other topics, said Billen.

“This training will greatly improve sales by giving the attendee an in-depth understanding of the fundamental, analytical, and best practices of selling powersport F&I products, along with essential compliance training that protects the dealership,” said Billen.

Aegis Powersports is a powersports dealer F&I product provider, and Garage Composites is an in-dealership training and consulting provider.

The first two seminars are slated for Feb. 8 and 9 in Sacramento, Calif., and March 7 and 8 in Costa Mesa, Calif., Billen added. The training is free to Aegis’ selling dealers, and more seminars will be offered throughout California during the summer and fall.
