BRP showcased concept designs for seven new electric vehicles within its current product lines at its Club BRP 2020 dealer meeting earlier this month.
The e-concepts include a, three three-wheelers, a scooter, a go-kart, and a personal watercraft, the company announced. BRP did not release any specs for the vehicles but stated that these were only concepts and were not ready for widespread production yet.
“BRP has been working for some time on how to create e-vehicles to bring new experiences to potential and existing riders,” Denys Lapointe, senior vice-president of design, innovation and creative services, said in a press release. “As we’ve said, it was never a question of ‘if’, but ‘when.’ We are truly excited about electric and see it as a potential opportunity for our business. For the moment, these are preliminary concepts as we are currently evaluating market viability.”
In addition to the Sea-Doo GTI and Ryker EV concepts, BRP showcased the eCom and the Twelve — two new three-wheelers. The OEM debuted the CT1 motorcycle and CT2 scooter, as well as the Sonic electric go-kart model.
