Hisun Motors Corp., USA, a UTV and ATV manufacturer, has increased its sales by 153% in the first quarter due to more focus on dealers, the OEM reported in an announcement last week.
Heading into 2018, the OEM planned to increase its dealer network and enhance the dealer and customer experience. Hisun works with around 200 dealers and was able to increase its network by 22% across the U.S. in the first quarter.
As a part of its goal to increase customer experiences, the Hisun sales staff meets with the dealer in-person and provides support in whatever way the dealer need. “It gives us the opportunity to meet with our dealers and work through different scenarios with them to enhance the customer experience,” Senior Regional Sales Manager Thomas Kang said in a press release.
Due to the increased communication with dealer partners, Hisun sales grew 153% year over year, making 1Q18 the strongest quarter in company history. Similarly, unit sales are up 159% from 2017. Hisun did not respond to a request for comment by press time.
The McKinney, TX.-based Hisun’s sales growth correlates with current trends in the powersports space. UTV and ATV sales have been on an upward trajectory with Hisun and fellow utility vehicle OEM Polaris having reported sales growth in the first quarter. However, motorcycle manufacturers like Harley-Davidson and Yamaha Motor Corp. have reported decreased or flat motorcycle sales.
