Dual Sports Bike Prices Climb 12% at Auction

While most powersports vehicle categories saw less than a 3% shift in average sales price (ASP) year over year, the biggest swing came in dual sports bikes, which grew 12%, according to National Powersports Auction data provided to Powersports Finance.

The ASP followed historical trends, paralleling pricing for repossessed and off-lease units in 2017, NPA said. Dual sports bikes is one of the lowest volume categories but saw the largest growth year over year.

Other categories that saw growth in 2018 were ATV/side-by-sides, which increased 3% year over year. Motocross (MX) climbed 1% year over year.

Meanwhile, the cruiser-metric and sport categories declined year over year, 2% and 3%, respectively.
