EagleRider will add traditional loan options to its offerings for domestic and international rental tours, Chris Clovis, EagleRider’s vice president of operations, told Powersports Finance.
The Hawthorne, Calif.-based dealership group has its own in-house financial provider, EagleRider Finance — which provides wholesale and retail financing — as well as six lender partners, according to Clovis.
EagleRider projects to offer the traditional financing option by late October. The company currently offers only layaway-style financing for its rentals, which allows consumers to pay in installments prior to going on a tour, he added.
By the end of April, EagleRider will roll out a lifetime powertrain warranty program on certified pre-owned motorcycles. “It’s never been done, in the motorcycle business to my knowledge,” Clovis said.
The program, provided through an EFG Companies platform, will offer consumers the ability to upgrade CPO motorcycles to a lifetime warranty from the original complimentary 90-day warranty, he said. Consumers can then bring their CPO motorcycle into any same-brand dealership for free repairs. “We’ll also have promos where it [the lifetime upgrade] will be included for free, but on a limited basis,” Clovis said.
