Ultraviolette Automotive Pvt. Ltd., a company that specializes in producing sustainable mobility and energy infrastructure, is developing a high-performance electric motorcycle in India and future-ready energy infrastructure to help accelerate the adoption of the vehicles in the country.
Ultraviolette is currently developing a motorcycle that will boast progressive design and energy efficient technology, with the goal that it will surpass traditional internal combustion engine motorcycles in performance, design, and durability. Additionally, the company is working on an energy infrastructure that will ensure availability of energy on the go.
“Our aim is to create excitement around the capabilities of electric vehicles and consequently increase preference for electric vehicles in the country,” Founder and Chief Executive Narayan Subramaniam said in a press release. “To realize this goal, we believe electric vehicles have to go beyond the purpose of basic commute and convenience, to being desirable and aspirational.”
Ultraviolette Automotive recently raised Series A funding from TVS Motor Company and is in conversations with investors and global strategic partners to increase manufacturing of the electric cycles.
Founded in 2016, the Domlur, Bangalore-based Ultraviolette Automotive plans to officially unveil the motorcycle and energy infrastructure in the fourth quarter of 2018.
