Freedom Road Emphasizes Marketing Push to Dealerships

As important as lending offers and incentives are for dealerships, they do little good if dealers are unaware of them. FreedomRoad Financial has been putting more emphasis on marketing this year, and the efforts have spread awareness, Executive Vice President and Managing Director Tom Collins told Powersports Finance.

“We’ve put more effort into marketing,” Collins said. “We’ve done more of that this year than we have done in the past. Those efforts have been done in conjunction with our OEM partners, so we get the message out to the dealers through a couple of different channels from our partners and us, as well. It’s a very consistent message from both of us and that’s helped out with some awareness I believe.”

FreedomRoad is a full-spectrum lender that partners with OEMs to create financing programs for their dealers. It works directly with manufacturers such as Triumph, KTM, Husqvarna, and Polaris, connecting to dealerships through events and email.

“We have supported some dealers at certain dealer events,” Collins said. “For instance, we go to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, and we have underwriters there that support dealers and OEMs. We haven’t done much of in that past. The marketing piece is mainly e-fax, email, e-blasts, those types of things.”
