Meta Gonzalez was appointed vice president portfolio management for MotoLease LLC, a Los Angeles-based powersports finance company, the company announced in September.
In her new role on the senior management team, Gonzalez is responsible for portfolio and program management, and will direct MotoLease’s lease processing and customer service departments, Emre Ucer, managing partner, told Powersports Finance in late January.
“Meta’s goals for her new role are to streamline MotoLease’s servicing and leasing processes, and to provide a customer service experience second to none in the powersports industry,” said Ucer.
Gonzalez joins MotoLease after 25 years serving as managing director of education services at Xerox Corporation.
Powersports Finance spoke with Gonzalez about her priorities and plans in her new role. The following are edited excerpts.
PF: What is your primary focus as the new vice president of portfolio management?
MG: My primary focus is multi-fold: streamline our servicing and leasing processes, prepare the operational departments for continued growth, and ensure that we provide our current and future MotoLease customers with exemplary customer service.
PF: What are your top three priorities looking into 2016?
MG: Some initiatives that we are addressing this year are: continued enhancements to our website that will put more information into the hands of our customers – such as a streamlined lease application process, access to their lease account information and the ability to make payments and change their contact information via the web or a mobile app.
PF: What is your biggest challenge right now at MotoLease?
MG: Our biggest challenge is to keep our operational capabilities in lock-step with our continued growth.
PF: What is your outlook on the powersports industry?
MG: The powersports industry is exciting for me. I am relatively new to it, but I do know that customer service experiences really make a difference, regardless of the industry. I can apply my previous business and operational management experience, coupled with new powersports industry knowledge, to build customer satisfaction with MotoLease that will be second to none.
