Regulation expert joins Powersports Finance Summit speaker faculty

David Gemperle, partner at Nisen & Elliott, will lend his industry expertise to a presentation on compliance during Powersports Finance Summit 2019.

The conference will take place Oct. 23-24 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront. Registration can be submitted here.

During the presentation, Gemperle will provide insight into the latest compliance issues that lenders need to be aware of. The topics will include, implementing procedures for handling consumer disputes; understanding the varying interpretations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and the latest developments at the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau and how it affects powersports.

Gemperle supports finance companies in connection with federal and state law compliance issues related to their motor vehicle, motorcycle, and powersports lease and retail installment sale programs. His experience covers a wide range of topics, including obtaining licenses, responding to examinations and complaints, and federal lease, loan, and retail installment disclosure compliance. He’s also the author of a monthly compliance report, which covers all legal developments directly impacting motor vehicle finance.

The presentation, titled “Regulatory Compliance Update,” will take place Thursday, Oct. 24, at 2:45 p.m.
