RumbleOn, the online marketplace in which users can buy, sell, and trade motorcycles, has hired Kevin Cooper to help expand the company’s offerings to RV and boats, the company announced in a press release.
Cooper will serve as director of specialty vehicles, leading RumbleOn’s plans for expansion into the RV and boat markets. Currently, consumers can use RumbleOn as a marketplace for motorcycles, but the company plans to cover a wider spectrum of powersports vehicles later this year and into 2019.
“The expertise that Kevin brings to RumbleOn will be instrumental in our strategic plan to expand into Boats and RV’s in the future,” Marshall Chesrown, RumbleOn’s chief executive, said in the release. “We are the platform for consumers to buy, sell, trade or finance motorcycles, and Kevin’s deep industry experience will help extend our strategic vision into new markets.”
Prior to joining RumbeOn, Cooper spent the last 10 years as the director of specialty vehicles at Manheim auctions. Cooper was responsible for overseeing operations, sales strategy, and marketing efforts across its 23 branded specialty locations. By creating a wholesale marketplace for financial institutions and dealers to remarket specialty products, Cooper led the brand in the RV and boat industry.
Before Manheim, Kevin spent six years with MarineMax, Inc. managing used boat inventory in the Central U.S. region.
