TDECU Exec to Provide Insight on Credit Union Lending at PowerSports Finance 2018

Jud Chamblee, director of wholesale business development at TDECU

Jud Chamblee, director of wholesale business development at TDECU, will share insights into the emergence of credit unions in the powersports market at PowerSports Finance 2018.

The conference will take place Nov. 6-7 at the Omni Fort Worth. To register for the event, click here.

As dealerships seek more options to finance consumers of multiple credit tiers, credit unions are becoming a popular choice to get customers funded and on a bike. This trend provides new opportunities to both dealers and lenders, and Chamblee will weigh in on the effect of credit unions in the market during a panel called “The Growing Impact of Credit Unions in Powersports Finance.”

Chamblee will discuss such topics as building creative programs to spur volume growth and how credit unions can capture near-prime consumers. The panel will also weigh in on the benefits of partnering with other lenders, such as the collaboration between ThunderRoad Financial and Georgia’s Own Credit Union, which drove 25% origination growth for the lender.

Chamblee possesses over 33 years of experience in the auto and powersports industries and has been with TDECU since 2009. He was promoted to the role of director of wholesale business development in 2016, and he is responsible for dealer relationship management for the indirect-specialty-merchant lending program. Before joining TDECU, Chamblee spent 15 years at PRIMUS-Ford Credit and three years with West Corp Financial Services.

Headquartered in Lake Jackson, Texas, TDECU has over 500 auto, RV, boat and powersports dealers and is one of the largest credit union indirect lenders in the country. With over $3 billion in assets, TDECU serves its members with 36 centers throughout Texas.

The session “Growing Impact of Credit Unions in Powersports Finance” will take place on Nov. 7 at 2:15 p.m.
